Soft reset broken on new AKi2 card

Postby volcano » Fri Jul 02, 2010 4:33 pm

I'm new to the DS scene but I'm not new to things like this.

Here's what I did:

1. Format using Panasonic SD/HC program.
2. Loaded latest 1.7 firmware linked from http://www.acekard.com
3. Created 'Games' directory followed by sub-directores (i.e. A-F, G-L, etc)
4. Loaded games into those directories

Booted into brand new bronze DSiXL

Booted into Akaio

Loaded a game (any game out of the 30+ I have on the SDHC card)

R+L+A+B+Down results in either:

- Erasing my settings (going back to default skin/language)

or

- Black screen freeze

It works randomly but not all the time and not as expected. As suggested on another forum I made some .ini file read only but it didn't help.

Any ideas?

I've also formatted the card using some GPart program in Ubuntu as suggested by another forum (proof enough I'm no noob lol) and still no go.

Everything works fine, but softreset is a damn near msut have feature

I just loaded 1.6RC2 and now soft reset works as expected.

Any idea why I'm having this issue in 1.7? Thanks!

closing and moving this thread to the "what not to do" section.
