GBA on Acekard 2i

Postby tiagomoucho3 » Mon Apr 25, 2011 10:56 pm

Hi! this is my first topic so... go easy on me ok? :D
I was thinking that there are many games for ds that i don't play and the games i like most i already played so i thought that a new version of akaio could support the gba extension to play gba games on ds, because there are games for gba that i would like to play again! It was just an ideia but if you like it i think you should work on it ;)

thanks for the attencion,

Tiago Moucho

The Acekard has no additional CPU and IIRC the DSi internal CPU is too weak for emulation, just forget about it.
Using AKAIO 1.9.0 - thx a lot, Normatt & Co!

gba extension, as in .GBA? or does he mean an external gba flash kit? perhaps he doesn't know 3in1, ewin, an f2a kits are already supported.

Yeah, this seems likely. Original poster, there are extensions that you can plug to your DS Lite (not DSi, though) to get GBA games to work. Since AKAIO 1.5 compatibility with GBA has been very good in general... look up 3in1 and buy it.

it's enough if you write it once...
So again: There are 3 Slot1 cards which are able to run GBA-Roms:
-Supercard DSTWO
-iPlayer
-iSmart MM

Well, I'd say that they are the only ones being able to emulate GBA ROMs.
With the 3in1 (almost, if not any) every Slot1 card can run GBA ROMs, they just don't need to be emulated.
