CINCINNATI (AP) — A.J. Green took a couple of steps Womens Nick Vigil Jersey , tried to cut and crumbled to the ground, grabbing his right foot. He was carted off the field, along with the Bengals‘ hopes of a late-season recovery. They keep unraveling a little more each week.Rookie Phillip Lindsay rushed for a career-high 157 yards and a pair of touchdowns Sunday as Denver adapted to a windy afternoon and got its third straight victory, 24-10 over the Bengals. After a 4-1 start, Cincinnati (5-7) has dropped six of seven with a historically bad defense and a series of injuries that depleted the roster. Not even a change in defensive coordinator has made much of a dent."I just want to see us challenge ourselves to turn it around before the end of the season," cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick said. "That's the only thing I can say right now."The Bengals are imploding in coach Marvin Lewis' 16th season. He fired defensive coordinator Teryl Austin and assumed the job of running the defense, but they're 0-3 under that arrangement. The Broncos (6-6) rushed for 218 yards , the third time in the past four games that Cincinnati has given up 200 yards on the ground. The Bengals have allowed four teams to run for 200 yards this season, and Kansas City had 198 yards on the ground."I'm disappointed with our football game today like that," Lewis said. With the Bengals on course for a third straight season missing out on the playoffs, fans are giving up. The crowd of 44,392 on Sunday was the smallest at Paul Brown Stadium since 2011.Fans in the upper deck tape a large banner to the front of a seating section before each game. On Sunday, they taped up a blank banner — nothing left to say about this season.Quarterback Andy Dalton tore a ligament in the thumb on his passing hand a week earlier, ending his season. Jeff Driskel made his first NFL start on Sunday and had Green back after he missed three games with an injured toe on his right foot.Green had only one catch before reinjuring the foot John Miller Jersey White , most likely ending his season."He was obviously battling just to play," Bengals receiver Alex Erickson said. "I'm sure it's devastating to him and to the team."Driskel finished 25 of 38 for 236 yards with a touchdown, an interception , a fumble and four sacks."Not good enough," Driskel summed up.The line also was in flux and struggled to adapt.Left tackle Cordy Glenn missed a second straight game with a bad back. Guard Clint Boling started at left tackle, and Trey Hopkins started at guard. The line got three penalties for holding, two for false starts and one for an illegal block.Cincinnati was penalized eight times in the first half, its most in an opening half since 2009. The Bengals finished with 12 penalties for 100 yards."There are no excuses," right tackle Bobby Hart said. "No matter who's in there or what's going on, it's your job to get things done." Of all the players who could be there at 11, Devin White might be the one who’d make the greatest impact of them all."The 2019 NFL Draft is almost here, and we’re wrapping up our 11 for 11 draft series with the man who’s been most projected the most to Cincinnati. After all, linebacker is where the Bengals need to focus early in this year’s draft, as their one playmaker away from not only upgrade thait unit Geno Atkins Jersey , but also making this defense a force to be reckoned with.White has been projected to go as high as No. 5 overall to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and he’s deserving of such a high pick. However, linebacker isn’t a premium position in today’s NFL, which is why a top-five talent like him could slip to No. 11, where he’d be a great addition. Here’s why the Bengals should take White at No. 11:He’s the best 4-3 linebacker in this draft, something the Bengals must address early. He’d be great value at No. 11, as many experts have White ranked as a top five prospect, including ESPN and CBS Sports. No linebacker in college football had a higher PFF grade in coverage than White’s 91.6 last season. The Bengals’ linebackers were consistently awful vs. the pass under Marvin Lewis. He’d by a Day 1 starter and make an immediate impact for the Bengals, which should be the goal with their first pick of the Zac Taylor era. Nick Vigil, Hardy Nickerson (RFA) and Brandon Bell (RFA) hit free agency next year, so the Bengals need a quality linebacker under contract for the next 4-5 years. The dropoff at linebacker after White and Michigan’s Devin Bush in this draft is very steep, so much that there may not be one worth taking until Round 3 for Cincinnati. Now, here’s why the Bengals should pass on White at No. 11:A 4-3 linebacker has only so much value in today’s NFL, and the No. 11 pick could be used to get great players at more important positions. There’s a good chance Dwayne Haskins is on the board here Womens Andy Dalton Jersey , and he may be the Bengals’ best chance at an upgrade over Andy Dalton for the foreseeable future. Linebacker is a big need, but so too is offensive tackle, a position of more value, and there should be some good ones available here. The Bengals’ last two first-round linebackers were Keith Rivers (2008) and David Pollack (2005), while their second-round picks include Dontay Moch (2011), Rey Maualuga (2009), Odell Thurman (2005). They’ve simply been bad at spending premium picks on linebackers.Adding to that, Rivers is the only top-11 pick Cincinnati has spent on a linebackersince Joe Kelly in 1986. It’s just not a position Cincinnati has ever placed high value on when it comes to high draft picks. All told, the good greatly outweighs the bad, and that porous history of drafting linebackers should not apply to White, who is easily one of the best overall players in this draft. He’s as close to a perfect fit as Cincinnati can hope for at No. 11. If White is on the board when the Bengals are on the clock, I believe he’s the first pick of the Zac Taylor era.
