1 Week Bans! (ALL USERS READ!)

Postby FawkYew RTFM » Thu Apr 29, 2010 12:46 pm

From this day forth....

Any users who posts a bug report, WITH OUT DEBUGGING, will be banned for 1 week. There will be no more warnings, editing of posts, etc. Of the last 10 bug reports, 6 did not include the required "debugged" field, and 2 did not fully debug.

This forum is for BUG REPORTS, AFTER ALL ELSE HAS FAILED

This forum is for BUG REPORTS, AFTER ALL ELSE HAS FAILED

This forum is for BUG REPORTS, AFTER ALL ELSE HAS FAILED

Is that understood?

All new users are required to read the rules before they post. Too many 1 post users have violated this rule. It really isn't that much to ask. We want you to post your problems when you are 100% sure it is an AKAIO problem. Anything else wastes our time and delays future releases of the firmware.

Do what you are asked or don't post here. Stick to GBATemp.net until you can follow the rules of this board.

How to fully debug:
After reading the AKAIO WIKI at least 3 times, you must fully debug, before submitting a bug report.

Fully debugging…
Make sure you try the following before you submit a bug report:
• Format your microSD using the Panasonic formatter
• Follow the AKAIO installation quick guide (found at the AKAIO WIKI)
• Update your AKAIO firmware
• Update the AKAIO loaders
• Try older AKAIO loaders
• Try the official loader
• Delete optionlist.bin and globalsettings.ini
• Read the “readme” files included with homebrew
• Verify your ROMs are clean dumps, by CRC
• Research the common problems with your Acekard
• Try your microSD in another Flash Linker, try another microSD in your Acekard
• Try your Acekard in another NDS
• Try another Acekard (ie: AK2i, AK 2.1,R.P.G.) or contact users at GBATemp.net to test for you.
• Try other dumps of the ROM (other regions, not other hosting sites)
• Try older/newer verisons of homebrew
• Try placing all homebrew files in ROOT
• Try contacting the homebrew author and asking questions
• Try the different AKAIO DMA modes
• Try the ROM with patches (soft-reset, cheats, etc) turned off
• Try a retail game cart on your NDS
• 3in1 problems, try GBA Exploader and GBALdr. If one of those works, your problem is solved.
• Delete and replace files, windows 2k+ drag/drop may append and not overwrite
• Make use of the vast amount of information found at GBATemp’s Acekard forum.
• Try manually setting the save size (especially for R.P.G. issues).

Once you have tried everything above (and more) and you are 100% positive the only remaining condition is the newest AKAIO firmware and/or loaders, then please submit your bug reports.

When posting a ROM bug report you must follow the layout below. Make the subject of your post intelligent (#3481 - Sukashikashipanman DS [Save Issue]). If for whatever reason you do not follow this layout you will be warned, and the thread may be edited or removed.

Game Title:
Game System:
Release Number:
Firmware version:
Loader version:
Acekard type:
Acekard HWID:
EZ 3in1 Version:
Description of problem:
Steps to reproduce:

For Example:
Game Title: Pokemon Fire Red (J)(Independent)
Game System: GBA
Release Number: #1343
Firmware version: AKAIO 1.6 RC2
Loader version: 3/25/2010
Acekard type: Acekard 2.1 Black PCB
Acekard HWID: 80
EZ 3in1 Version: 3in1NEW (2nd Generation Card)
Description of problem: Save files are being deleted
Steps to reproduce: Run the ROM, reboot, back-up the save, reload the save, game says the save was deleted.
Debugged: Tried all DMA modes, formatted microSD properly, tried U and E dumps, etc.
Other: Include additional information here as required. A few sentences about your experience are permitted. This is a great place for some people to include 3in1 issue information which does not fit the standards of the bug report.

Example: The battery is good, other games work fine. The 3in1 is working as it should. I am not sure if this is a problem with the GBA native flashing, the ROM, or the issue of a lack of a RTC
